Accessibility - colours

I'm colour blind. In particular, I struggle with seeing red.

After reaching around level 93 or so in SSF (I am currently level 96), my friend told me that some bosses flash red at times when I questioned something about a boss-fight and I hadn't noticed that colour indicator.

Either way, I'd like to be brief and offer some areas of concern and an idea on how to address this.

Areas of concern:
- Red effects on monsters (bosses) Apparently it's some kind of enrage mechanic and I have been able to notice it after knowing it was a thing but trying to be on the look-out for something your eyes normally won't register is exhausting.
- "rune"-areas in Ultimatum, where you are supposed to stand inside a big circle and slay monsters. It is very hard to see whenever you're done there. Sometimes I try to look for the moving shadow but since it's red, my vision isn't drawn to it so I usually end up standing still there for a while, until I'm certain no more monsters are spawning and I can move on.
- Red "lightning runes" in the Ultimatum, which trigger lightning storms after staying inside for a while. These are near invisible to me.
- Breach boss' room - The area from which you enter has an invisible wall blocking you off once the encounter has started. I tried to run and dodge the hands and was streaming to my friend and he was wondering why I played the way I did and I asked "why GGG" hadn't put a barrier or marker or something to indicate you can't walk there. Turns out it was some red thing again.
- Omen of Sinistral Alchemy and Omen of Greater Exaltation. I'm usually able to tell colours apart after being told they are different but these two are so similar I actually cannot. Please change one of their colours and note it may potentially be an issue for other omens as well, I might just not have found them.

- The button next to the "Spoiler" button in this form. I believe there is some text on there but I literally have absolutely no idea what it says on it.

Proposed solution:
While I can't speak for everyone who's colour blind, I can say the following. I understand you've made the decision to colour-code certain damaging elements and such in the game. However, it is a terrible experience to not be able to see something and just die from it or miss it and so on. A lot of games have incredible bad solutions for colour blind accessibility where you can warp all colours in the entire game, making it look like complete and utter garbage.

When faced with such an option, I'd rather just occasionally die to invisible things. Imagine this - if you make an effect red, consider it invisible to some people.

The only game I've seen which does colour accessibility in a good way was Final Fantasy XIV, where you can configure things so you get the best contrast between as many colours as possible but it's not ideal either.

I personally think the best solution would be to simply be able to select the colour of these things. In my case, I'd make every single one of the **purple** because that's the colour I can see the best and yes, I'd have issues distinguishing things from "breach/chaos"-mechanics like that but I'd rather have two things I can see and sometimes get them wrong rather than having some things I can't see and other things I can see and always know what they are.

In essence: if possible, let us pick a colour for effects - especially red ones and don't add a feature which warps the hue of the entire game.

Final words:
I'm a developer, so I realize the feasibility of being able to get such a colour-picker may be impossible at the time but it would be a really, really nice long-term goal.

There are likely other things I haven't listed above which are "areas of concern" as well but these were those I could think of on the top of my head while writing this.

Amazing game btw, love it and keep going!

Additional areas of concern:
- Big growing red circle in Ultimatum. If picked, it may be perceived as completely invisible and hit you out of nowhere if you're running around.
- Health indicator at the bottom left of the screen. Normally, you'd view that in your peripheral vision and react if taking a big chunk of damage in one go (since your eyes would register the disappearance of life). However, since it's red I basically cannot do that and have opted for ES builds since I began playing PoE a bit before the Breach League in PoE 1.
