Flame wall not triggering SRS

Not sure if this was an intentional fix or not but title says it all. I know this seems to be an issue in general and not specific to console however for clarity and full documentation I am on PS5 and the only supports im using on SRS are maim, culling strike and fire mastery. I played with numerous spirit values including having SRS be the only thing turned on and I have over 300 spirit. I tried cutting a new gem, corrupting one and trying both, abs using a lower level srs. I've tried different supports on flame wall as well as no supports at all. Nothing works. SRS does trigger on fireball but the only way i know to get 10 spirits consistently is to put wildshards, fork and unleash on it which causes the frame rate to drop to practically 0. Please advise if this flame wall/srs interaction was intentionally stopped.
