Currency Inflation?

Not sure if it is just me or not but has currency been inflating at an alarming rate? Divine Orbs used to be 1 to 100 Exalted Orbs 2 weeks ago, then 120 a week ago. Now they are climbing to 147-150 each. Is it ever going to stop? At this rate, they will be 250 by Feb.

So the problem is that there isn't much in the way of divine sink in the game. For example: not enough chase items in the market like uber uniqes. not enough forms of crafting materials of equal value, as well as the item its self is not really used at the moment thanks to the simple crafting we have going on. we also do not have forms of crafting that costs divines like the crafting bench in poe1. so to sum up the problem is see is that the item lacks value as its self, barely any item would need the (implicit) rerolled, no way or form to spend it on crafts like crafting bench in poe1. so the item is just being stock piled in trade like a dam.

We had as similar problem in POE I believe two leagues ago where divines then where divines flooded the market so badly that the price per DIVINE was climbing each week.

Until GGG finds a sink of some sort that costs DIVINES in a form of crafts, enchantments, ETC then even a reset will do nothing more than refreshing the pool of DIVINES and inflation.

Removing Item rarity would not solve this issue because it would only slow the inflation NOT stop it.

I am no expert in how the market in POE stabilizes but I do know that Creating ways to spend DIVINES not through trade but with Mechanics like cost of crafting, and creating other forms of currencies to encourage people Spending them.
167 ex per div now kekw.
That is because a severe exploit of dupped mirrors and other currency now.

The servers couldn't have dropped 30k mirrors in a day but there were 40k completed mirrors trade just yesterday .

That's why all other currency are on declining now. Divines too have depreciated too , 1 audience of the king is now 8 div ( used to be 5-6 couple of days ago.

They seriously need to do something.
There has been inflation, there is inflation and there will always be inflation in online game economies. It's a given, like ups and downs within the overall trend are a given too. There is even a somehow scientific paper regarding inflation in POE1.

Unless there is some sort of mechanic like IRL to manipulated interest rates or other knobs someone could press, this will never change and besides some technical and healthy ups and downs, there will always be a more or less linear trend.

Like in the real world, if you don't want to watch your money getting washed down the drain, invest in different stuff and let it work for you. Invest in your own gear (playing the game is the best way to not be poor), in gear others buy later, in very rare assets. Just don't sit on tons of cash, influx of players, increasing demand and Divine supply and influencer hype videos are working against your cash.
