10 out of 10 items I attempt to make usable, ends in a bricked item and wasted currency

I have 3 level 90+ characters, one about to hit level 95.

I am currently over 400+ hours into PoE2 alone, Yes that's no life levels for a fact, but despite having no life I do infact touch grass and have a full time job and gf, thankfully she games also and doesn't mind the time I spend on POE.

Now with that aside and my non-life justified , to the real sauce...

IN ALL THAT TIME I HAVE MANAGED TO CRAFT "ONE" (1) SINGLE USABLE ITEM WORTH A CRAP!!! And I am CONSTANTLY attempting to make decent items!!

The "Item Crafting Gamba" In this game is beyond gamba, It's a blatant disrespect of the players time and an absolute impossible to pass gate for any casual or new players, The current price of whittling omens is 1250 Exalted Orbs which is somehow significantly more expensive than BEFORE the buff to omen drop rates (WTF?)

This is absolutely ridiculous and insane, this means that only the richest of the rich are able to even ATTEMPT "crafting" and EVEN THEN, it's most likely that they too will fail in making items usable.

OK!! I GET IT!! You want ground loot to be important, and don't want it to be incredibly easy and simple to craft godly usable items, That's perfectly fair!!!

But what we have now is NOT the above vision, it is simply masochistic and blatant disrespect to players time, while also being a blatant disregard to any new or casual players... This has to be changed , No game that I know of that I've personally played in my 16 years of gaming has ever had such a crappy system (Queue the multiple people who will immediately name off 10 games much worse, but my point still stands)

Please GGG, I just want to be able to OCCASIONALLY make some good items through the "crafting" system!!

DISCLAIMER: This rant was brought to you by yet another instantly bricked item and 80 wasted exalted orbs minutes before writing up this post

+1 i spend more currency crafting trash than i do buying things from trade, its absurd
Fun things, Sad things... We can't share everything, But what we can, we should share... That is what it means to be a guild. A single persons happiness is everyone's happiness. A single persons anger is everyone's anger. And a single person's tears are everyone's tears.
absolutely 100% absurd
Hey i saw that last thread you made, the admins locked.

Communicate with GGG as little as possible, Review their Glassdoor, and Trust Pilot.

You are a second class citizen, Unless you come from the place you mentioned in your other post.

I have never seen an "International" game IN MY LIFE, just a game aimed at them, or making money for them, which one is this? its both. This is the first its both.

I hate being forced to speak this way because of the forum admin.

but theres no way this can be perceived as political now, and there wasnt any way it was perceived as political befor, it was just accurate and provable.

80 orbs? Have you ever done any crafting in poe1? First of all, I agree the crafting on POE2 is trash. But think about poe1 for a second... you could alt spam 100-200 times trying to get just the starting item, possibly using a few annuls at some points, some regals, multiple divines/exalts in crafting bench and still end up with a not so great item. OR you could spend 100's of chaos on fossil or harvest crafting. Not to mention jewelers and fusings. The big difference is in POE1 you really only needed one item, which makes it feel much better to craft. The lack of crafting options and the lack the ability to rest an item(scours) makes the crappy poe2 system feel even worse. but you cant base it on attempts, you would technically craft on just one item in poe1 more times than you have crafted on all items you have tried in POE2.
There's a reason crafters in poe1 were the richest players: expectations. Most players have completely unreasonable expectations and end up deleting a ton of currency of low probability outcomes. The smart ones do a tons of math to optimize their chances, have a ton of attempts done to mitigate variance, and have a ton of game and market knowledge to know what has the highest risk/reward ratio.

There are really only two things GGG could be at fault about here:
- Not communicating expected outcomes (of which they are very, very guilty). Stat weights are in no way communicated to the player and have to be datamined, for one example.
- The extremely high variance meaning you need an enormous number of attempts to gravitate toward the expected success rate. This of course leads to frustration as you fail 20% chance outcomes that cost an ton amount of currency, even if a success would mean a 5x or greater value increase.
