Item Rarity Interaction on Minions: Bug or Intended Behavior?

There is a stat called "Item Rarity," but I don't think it works correctly on minions. In the minion skill gems, rarity is displayed and seems to work properly, but I couldn't really feel its effect in the game. To test this, I used the Necromantic Talisman skill and equipped Item Rarity on my amulet. I observed that the rarity from the talisman applied to the minions' basic attacks and skills.

This raised a question in my mind: Is the minion skill gem's "Minion Info" rarity the actual value? Or is it the rarity from their basic attacks? Or is it a combination of both?

I have concerns about minions and rarity too. My very geared infernalist with 200+ rarity is getting less div drops than my deadeye at +60% rarity. I run easier maps with my deadeye too.

Sample size and all, maybe it's working fine, but since I started keeping track the deadeye is doing significantly better.
I have come to the same conclusion. Something seems wrong for minions.
Seems Scattershot makes this happen from my testing.
I have also noticed the same thing. I got my first div after 280 hours and with 200+ rarity.
but got two divs in 1 day, on similar maps as a chrono with 10% rarity.
i got my first div on 10% rarity map like t5 (60-70% rarity on me) , my second div droped just now 13% rarity map t10 (77% rarity on me) . got perfect jewelers from white mob at like t1-2

i also have minions build but im questioning if rarity works in general because i get more good orbs drops on no or low rarity maps
Its already the end of the year and I think this problem still is in the game. I have 6 character in the new league (abyss) that are lv 90+ and the one that uses minions just does not benefit from gear rarity at all. On avarage I drop 3-10 divs a day with my ranged/melee builds depending on how much rarity I have (none of my builds in question have more then 80% rarity because I like to prioritize damage and resistances). I drop 3 divs with build that have 10%-20% rarity, and 10 with builds that have 70%-80% rarity in gear. But with a minion build I tried to get more rarity in my gear and managed to get 160% IR but I have horrible loot with this build, even if I use a map with 90% IR, tablets with +100 rarity and a shrine that boosts my IR up to 400%, with the full atlas focused in rarity of items and monster density, I stil just drop exalted/regal orbs, thats INSANE. In 3 days I droped 2 divs with this build and had no good item drops, and if I play my builds with 80% IR I drop a divine in less then 15 minutes, with similar clear speeds. There is absolutely a problem with IR in gear with minion builds eventhough the minion stats show that the IR is being applied.
I will just do another build for mapping, what is really sad because I liked the minion one, but there is no way Im playing this with no returns at all
Equip +Rarity gear and the unique Gravebind gloves with your next minions build. That should resolve the issue, provided your presence radius is large enough.
