End Game Coop
Dear GGG,
Have loved everything about POE2 so far. I've been playing solo somewhat, but mainly play with my wife and, sometimes, our friends. Just finished cruel and made it to mapping. I probably should have researched this ahead of time, but we started a tier 1 map, got most of the way through, one of us died, and we discovered this bricks the map. I knew that was true on solo ahead of time, no problem with that, but it seems poorly designed for multiplayer coop. No player can die? What if you want to play with friends of different skill levels? What if a player has an internet or computer glitch? And what if this happens on a map that actually has juice? It's a disincentive to map with others. I recognize that a revive option would, likely, overly incentivize coop play at the high end. But I have to think there's a better way for endgame coop to work than this. I've watched your livestreams and understand you're invested in the one portal system for mapping in POE2, but I'm not sure that is best for the coop experience. Personally, I think I'm likely done playing much more unless the endgame coop changes. I'm sure I'll come back to play more campaign, and other classes, but for me the long term strength of an ARPG is how it treats coop. I play these games to play with friends, and I know that to be true for most people I play with. I offer this feedback because I would really like to progress through endgame with my wife and our friends, but I don't see how we do that in the current state. I mostly came here to offer this feedback, but if I am missing something or if others have tips I am certainly open to that. I'm sure there will be some 'get good' comments, assuming anyone else reads this, and fine, fair enough. But if GGG wants a broadly appealing game, and the audience and revenue that brings, they need an endgame that appeals to more than the elite of the game. Thanks for your time!
