Unlimited Boneworks - Turning Bonestorm into a Non-Channeling skill with the Deadeye ascendancy
Ello everyone.
This is a Bonestorm build that will turn it into a single-click spell. The overall feeling of the Bonestorm is very similar to some old-school Tornado Shot build, the ones that used the Rigwald's quiver for a lot of forks. You'll be getting your forks and chains from the Snakepit, Skill tree, and Ricochet support gem. Despite Snakepit stating that your projs cannot chain, the terrain chains, by the looks of it, are unaffected by this modifier, which is quite logical, as they are ricochets, not chains. You will also be using the CoC setup with the Profane Ritual in it, so you could have power charges for clearing. Defences-wise, you'll have a decent amount of ES and ER, with a possibility to overshield yourself with the Grim Feast whenever you want, by killing your own Skeletal Clerics. You will also be using Eternal Youth, since there is no reason to have ES recharge while you can overshield yourself even before (or even during) boss fights. The only real requirement for this build is Ingenuity belt, but you can try to play it w/o it, it'll just fell less smooth to play/gear, since you'll need to get some additional cast speed and mana/mana regen somewhere else, like in your tree. PoB link - https://pobb.in/dsD5B-Shtuxh Use it as your main reference. Just some explanations to the gear/skills. Gear
Spoiler
Nothing too complicated on the side of gear. Mainly, you'll need about 100% increased Cast Speed on your gear. You are you gonna get there - is up to you. But in general, you'll want mana regen/mana/cast speed on your breach ring that you'll be empowering by Ingenuity.
The only other staple requirements are the staple requirements being +5 and 80+ crit on your wand, +2 and same crit on your focus (plus some ES on your focus), and +3 to proj or spell skills on your amulet. The amount of Spirit that you'll be needing is about 60-70 (70 is so you could fit Clarity) Get a To the Bone node on your megalomaniac. Just this node will be enough, but getting 1-2 good nodes with it is obviously a better option. Just keep in mind that this is a non-meta node and you'll having a VERY bad time finding a good megalomaniac for a reasonable price. You'll never guess how many people I have blocked and how much "certain Chinese square" pastas have I sent in the chat while looking for a decent megalomaniac. GOD how much I wish we had the private leagues at the initial EA release... Everything else should be obvious from the PoB, but feel free to as questions. Gems
Spoiler
Do not use the Soul offering in your main weapon swap. You'll be snapshotting it from your second weapon swap with some additional duration, plus it'll be a pain in the arse if you'll pylons will die and you won't have targets for your Minion Pact.
Eye of winter can be switched for Blink in your second weapon swap (otherwise you won't have enough skill slots) Minion skill levels are increasing the level of your grim feast, which is important, so get a decent scepter. You can make Constructs from your Unearth do damage/be tanky. But then you'll be sacrificing the Grim Feast boosting strat, since you'll need to take A LOT of minion nodes in order to make them useful. Their main usability is to gang up on the boss and make him act dumb, but you can also switch the focus in your main weapon swap for the Dark Defiler and brutality for some other gems, and have a decent DPS increase for the cost of overall increase of clunkyness of your build Why does the Bonestorm firing all 20 bones in a single click tho? I have no clue. Thing is, while I drop the Scattershot, I should get to the 20 bones in, like, 3 seconds. But in reality, I'm getting there in 1.5 seconds. ??? But since it works this way, then with the scatter shot, even tho you should be getting to the 20 bones in, like, 2 seconds, you'll be getting 20 bones in just one second, which a single click. This is the main reason why you should go Deadeye. IF this is a bug and it'll be fixed, a Monk or an Infernalist might become better choices. This build deserves a comment. I'm only lvl 35 so far, but even the early leveling experience and the campaigning have been fun and smooth going, especially after lvl 32 (Snakepit). In the beginning I just used a bow with Lightning Arrow. As soon as Bonestorm became available I switched to a focus and a siphoning wand (to generate power charges with Power Siphon).
Thanks for sharing the build. |

Can you please post passive tree? From the video is hard to understand which nodes are for 1st weapon and which are for 2nd.
