Game freezing/latency spike
Update to this: As of today, the latency went from random spikes that last a few seconds to now a consistent flow of random spikes between 0-300ms. This has now made the game stutter non-stop and virtually unplayable. I have tried multiple servers and the effect is the same
Until recently, the game has been running fine but over the last couple days I've been experiencing an issue where the game suddenly freezes (character on the screen completely stops) and sometimes a disconnect occurs. This occurs throughout the day so it isn't fixated around peak hours and happens fairly often (once every 10-15mins but it has happened twice in under a minute too) but it's so random it's making it very difficult to do activities become lost when the disconnection occurs. At first I thought it might be a PC issue, either related to overheating or settings or ISP but none of the aforementioned has shown any issues. Let me be very clear, there is absolutely no changes out of the norm during this freezing period, no heating spike, no connection drop from ISP, etc. After turning on performance metrics in-game, I noticed that there's a massive latency spike during this freezing period, where the latency spikes from ~70ms to well over 4000+ for about 2-3 seconds. I'm guessing its because of this and the activity I'm doing at the time that then leads to the disconnection. In case anyone is curious, I'm running a 14700k with a 4070 Ti. Can anyone shed any light on this issue? Last edited by OseriduunTT#3794 on Jan 23, 2025, 4:20:14 PM Last bumped on Jan 28, 2025, 12:22:17 PM

I've had similar problems over the last few days. Multiple freezes and some to the point that my entire PC locks up and I have to hard shutdown. It's definitely not something I've had problems with before.
I'm running a RTX 3080. |

Just commenting to add, same. Never a single stutter and now its nonstop latency spikes. I have tried everything from deleting the client log, turning off core 0, all of the graphics options from Vulkan, DX12, and all other options. Reset the network. Flushed the DNS. Nothing has helped at all.

This exact thing happening to me too on Xbox Series X, so don't think it's related to PC specs.
Have tried a few things like setting DNS servers to use googles (found that as a tip on PS5 forums), downgrading the sound settings (another tips somewhere else) but nothing helps. |

The same. Game is waving between 0 and 1000 latency making the game completely unplayable
