Website account issues

When I initially started playing PoE 2 I made a new account because I could not remember my old account info. Eventually I found my old account and was forced to link my 2 accounts to not cause any conflicts between accounts.

The current problem I am having now is that my PoE 2 characters don't show up when I log into my PoE 2 account on the website. This also causes conflicts with the trade site with not being able to send whispers through the site (a minor inconvenience. Is there a way to delete my old PoE 1 account so that it removes the conflict? Any help you could provide would be appreciated.
