My recently purchased Staff has just disappeared!!!!!

Just bought a rattling sceptre from the trade site for 100 exalted orbs, had the item for about 10 minutes.. whilst doing a map accidentally swapped the equipped sceptre I just bought with another I'd recently picked up off the floor... it equipped that onto my character and the one I'd just purchased completely disappeared. Wtf!!!!!

100 exalted orbs wasted....
