Losing map nodes to RNG is bad. Losing Citadel's is worse.
Please, please, please reconsider the 1 portal per map policy. It kills any kind of fun or momentum when you lose time spent prepping a map node with a boss and extra levels just because a Rare got an unlucky set of affixes like Proximal Tangibility, Haste, Mana Drain, etc. (Or a citadel like Vaal City makes it impossible to see an Execution attack coming because of the walls/nature of the map)
Deaths happen occasionally, it is ALREADY punishing to lose so much XP/time and the waystone. It's NOT fine to lose time spent and enjoyment. It does nothing to enhance the experience or make it more rewarding, it's just exhausting. Last bumped on Jan 24, 2025, 6:42:33 PM
