STEAM OVERLAY NOT OPENING. (solved)

Cant open it anymore , shift tab nothing happens, double checked with a other game , works fine there.

The settings are all enabled again (usually i turn them off) but i wanted to spend some money for points using my steam wallet and now the game just insists i should enable steam overlay (WHICH I HAVE !). Driving me absolutely mad here.

Theres no ini setting or any other setting i can find that might hint to a fix.

Are there any configuration files outside of mygames/path of exile 2/ or the steam folder or anywhere that might contain a overlay=false or something like that?


solved:

removed all the files in the root directly of poe2, validated gamefiles, reaquired the missing files,problem solved.

cause: probably framegen mod removal was dirty and left behind a tweaked dll
