Not a fan of the current world map VS Exilecon one
![]() In the Exilecon version, you really get a sense for the verticality of the desert. In the current one, you just feel like there's a bunch of scribbles separating the areas. And with the removal of the zone names, it all blurs together. I often find myself wondering where the hell the town is. I rarely look at anything other than waypoints. Act2 is easily the worst offender, I had no idea where I was the first 10 times I played the act. It does not help in the SLIGHTEST that things move around too. Definitely detracts from the world building. Probably wouldn't be a problem in the old version, because that had better world building so you have inherent presence-feeling. The current one has way more in common with PoE1. The comic-one from Exilecon had zone names etc which added to the world building. On vaguely related notes: - The town marker should be more obvious. It probably shouldn't be an in-waypoint icon, but rather an above-waypoint icon. - Lore wise, the description of the plaques are hard to grasp because I can't relate "1619IC" to anything. All I can infer is that it's in the past. Would be nice if it was obvious what year it was now. Last edited by Immoteph#2974 on Jan 25, 2025, 4:05:47 AM Last bumped on Jan 25, 2025, 4:19:48 AM

I agree on the point that the town waypoint should have a clearer indicator as to where it is. Most of the time I just town portal so I don't have to find it.
