GGG Opportunity: PC Freezing Randomly - Detailed System Specs
I give up... Please tell me what hardware I need to buy or swap out in order to play this game. I've spent ~$400 on this game and would like to play it without these constant random hardlocks. My PC hard freezes at RANDOM times throughout the game. Nothing in particular seems to cause the freeze. GGG, if you're reading this, tell me what to do/buy so I can play your game.

My gripe with this is it's a known Win 11 24H2 Issue but only seems to affect PoE2 on my pc.
I'm at the point where i have to rollback my Win 11 version to enjoy the game or simply stop playing PoE2 until there is a bug fix. I lost multiple Divines in Waystones and Fragments to this bs. It also only ever freezes during loading screens and the game ran fine before i updated to 24H2 without reading about it first. |

" Yeah, for some reason I can't downgrade anymore. I think MS made 24H2 mandatory or something. I was thinking about running a Win10 VM on my Linux box to see if that would fix it, but I haven't had time with work and life. |

It's not win 11 24h2 related, and probably not hardware related. There's 2 threads with over 400 pages each and there's people from every spec imaginable: a couple of linuxes, intel cpus, amd cpus, nvidia cards, amd cards, win10, win11, rolled back win 11's, clean installs of win11 23 like mine, etc.
Of course 24h2 and amd is going to be more prevalent, it's what everyone buys from a few years ago to this day if they want to game on their pc's. It's the more widespread bought option, amd and win11. That doesn't mean it's the reason for the freeze (on my group, everyone freezes and we have a win10, intel and nvidia so go figure). It's been a month and it's still freezing, it's not getting resolved any time soon. |
