I think infinite deterministic crafting is a problem

Note; these are my thoughts about the matter. I'm not claiming it to be true. I know this is controversial. If you have another opinion please share it and let us know your thoughts on the matter.

With omens you can for sure get the outcome you want eventually. It will cost you hundreds of divines if not several mirrors to do so though. As a result the people that play 24/7 can afford to craft items that are extremely valuable, making them even richer and they can keep on crafting extremely valuable items. Not everyone should have access to the best items in the game, but the gap will keep on widening forever with any form of infinite deterministic crafting.

I first though that the droprate of omens should be increased by a lot, so that basically everyone can do some crafting with them, but that doesn't change the fact that inifinite determinstic crafting is a problem in my opinion.

I personally like the system of Last Epoch. It has the best of both worlds. You can deterministically craft what you want, but it's limited in how many times you can craft. You also can't keep rerolling stats.

How to apply this to PoE2? My solution would be to only allow 1 omen of each type on any given items. You can control your crafts by a lot, but you can't reroll forever. To balance this out, the droprate of higher valued omens should be increased.

TLDR:
- Deterministic crafting with omens will lead to a spiraling wealth gap
- Rerolling mods forever is a problem
- My solution: every omen can only be applied once on each item. Droprate for higher tier omens should be increased
