PS5 loot issue

I play on PC, my friend is playing on PS5. I joined him to help him kill the act 2 boss. I ran in and started the fight. He was stuck at the gate, but when the boss entered phase 2 he got sucked into the fight. He got credit for the boss dying but couldn't see loot at all anymore. We cleared the first area of act 3, he didn't see any loot on the ground. He tried putting items I traded him into the stash and was instead dropping them on the ground. He relogged and the issue is fixed.
