Sorceress Ice Wall exploding on some enemies and pushing away others

The Ice wall from the sorceress appears to push away small enemies around the wall but explode on normal/large enemies when placed on top of them.The latter is the correct reaction as part of the ability of ice wall is to explode when the placement of the icewall is disrupted or its health reaches zero. Smaller enemies seem to just be pushed around the icewall, negating its defensive properties by being moved across the wall without any explosion or desire to attack it instead of the player character.
