Weapon swap deleted my weapon!

I just finished a trial run to get my ascendancy. I got a bunch of crap in my inventory and wanted to scrap most of it but first I grabbed a stack of scrolls out of my stash then proceeded to quickly identify all the stuff in preparation to get rid of it. In the process (because the identify and equip button are the same on PS5) I accidentally hit equip in a trash off hand thing and it replaced my main two hand staff, the issue is I had no geometric space in the shape of a two handed staff in my inventory when swapping it for a smaller off hand item…. The staff disappeared! It was not in my inventory, it was not in my stash and it was not on the ground! Where did it go, I spend a ton of resources (admittedly it was dumb to do that on a low level alt character) to upgrade that staff to be amazing and now it’s completely gone. Please investigate and fix this issue and if possible I would like to have my staff back… Additionally I have a screen capped recording of this incident that I’m happy to submit with your team if needed.
