Unable to use the elevator to proceed to the next room of the trials.

What happened was that I was able to accidentally blink towards the ledge of the next room even though I haven't completed the challenge yet and I was also able to blink again to complete the challenge but the elevator although is showing to be activated is not functioning so I could not proceed to the next room.
