UNIDENTIFIED ITEMS ABUSE? (adorned, against the darkness)

Hi, currently on tft there's is an ongoing speculation that some players are identifying items such as adorn diamond jewel, Against the darkness. Wherein they identify the item if it's trash they will crash their instances (or i dunno only found this one out) in result the trash results will be sold again with a higher price, can anyone confirm if this is true?

There is tons abuses with it, same as divining to get mirror cost items, identify, vaaling, duping mirrors - Chinese mafia already has 100+ mirrors in stash. Sad part that market already dead and GGG just gave up till next league.
