Temple Offering is gone forever if you leave the game.

I had this happen to me 2 times, I had to leave the game after losing a trial and coming back to the spawn once, when I rejoined the the offering is not inside the Temple Offering, basically my key is gone. I didn't notice that my key was gone for this reason so I have done it again, basically I lost 4 free ascendancy points. Super annoying.
