Are Breach Precursor tablets supposed to be swallowed by the breach? (never mind)

EDIT: I guess never mind, I see one in my inventory? I was nowhere near it but I guess I somehow picked it up?

It seems that breach precursor tablets are consumed by the breach when it retracts. Is this intended? The other items dropped by breach monsters remain on the ground when the breach retracts.
