Trial of chaos room 7 door wont open

I completed the boss battle in room 7 of chaos but because i jumped down into the arena instead of walking passed the dumb guy the room wouldnt open.

Ruined my best chance and run at 4th ascension....absolutely ridiculous the door should open when the boss is dead. im pissed.
