Is chaos damage with chaos innoculation bugged ?

Just asking, was on a ritual map that send chaotic bolts from chaotic plants.

The map had MONSTERS deal X% extra cold dmg // X% extra lightning dmg.

The chaotic bolts were damaging my ES, so I wondered, is it a bug or it is because of the 2 mods I specified on the map ? Cause it's saying MONSTERS, but maybe the chaotic plants are considered monsters at this point, Idk, just asking, thanks a lot for answering this please.
