Windows11 version 24H2 compatibility to X3D CPUs

Hi,

I recently assembled my “dream PC,” but I was shocked and disappointed when my PC kept freezing while playing POE 2. Like anyone would, I suspected faulty hardware.

I began stress-testing each component using reliable tools like MemTest, OCCT, and others. Surprisingly, no errors were found, which ruled out faulty hardware.

Next, I searched for other possible causes and came across a tool called poeuncrasher. However, even after running it, the PC continued freezing. A friend who also plays Path of Exile and uses an X3D CPU mentioned having the same issue and suggested rolling back Windows to version 23H2.

I followed his advice by rolling back and reformatting my PC to the 23H2 version of Windows. To my surprise, the PC worked smoothly, and the freezing stopped. However, after playing for three hours, I encountered an error related to DirectX 12. I switched to the Vulkan renderer, and since then—over the last 24 hours—I haven’t experienced any freezes or crashes.

I believe this is a critical issue, especially for players with X3D CPUs, as these freezes could potentially damage their hardware. I would greatly appreciate it if GGG could investigate and address this issue.

My Build:
• CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
• Motherboard: Aorus X670E
• RAM: Corsair 64GB 6000MHz
• GPU: RTX 4060 Ti (planning to upgrade in the future)
