Did I screw myself?

I beat normal without doing the Trial of Chaos. Am I locked out of those two ascendancy points forever, or just for now? Do we know if there's any plan for people to be able to get those points if they missed them the first time around?

You can still go back to ACT 3 and finish the trail of chaos.
