SOFTCORE VS HARDCORE MODE....

I am starting to think that Hardcore mode has a totally different mechanics.

Im lvl 80 on Softcore doing T12+ maps and the one shot kills from yellow bosses are totally insane. I am not even within their range and suddenly some fire ball or one shot lightning is dropping on me.

I am wondering how these players in Hardcore mode making to the top ladder without getting killed by these insane one shots?

Let me guess, change my gears? Yeah I can't afford gears that costs few dozen div orbs, I barely dropped 3 Div orbs until lvl 80.

This game is not friendly for regular honest users, only bots and probably hardcore Koreans can make some profit and have fun out of this game.

My will and motivation to play this game is slowly reducing to the point that I probably won't even play this game even at League release. When people was posting threads about GGG losing players over unplayable game mechanics and insane instant one shot kill I was at first like "why people are complaining over this", until I have lost 10 T12+ maps today over these stupid one shot kills.

This is very demotivating and its not fun to even play more. So either leave this game and come back to it after 6 months to check if there are any improvements or watch this game die.

Not mentioning the scams and the bots making the economy impossible to be affordable for regular players.

Okay that was a small rant of frustration, now you can throw all those stones at me if you never sinned. I only accept Waystones tho ;) Make sure its T12+ xD.

for starters to make myself hyped enough to be serious, i need to put myself into a different mental state.

i need to remind myself that i need to be serious and that i need to detach myself from my regular "YOLO" game play

this mental conditioning is a bit extreme but from what i see it works.

one way you can start is by seeing yourself in third person.

for example, my waypoint stash tab i would call em maps. and i would name the tab "exsea's maps".

this is one way to trick myself into being a hardcore gamer so i can start doing maps with things.

I am even playing super careful during maps run but it's not possible with the insane range of the yellow bosses and their insane attack speed. Your dodge reaction can't even compete with their speed.

Are you naming your stash tab after your nickname? xD

It's very simple.
Those players use their time to improve at a game/mode they're playing, instead of complaining about it.

If you want a title that doesn't punish your incompetence in any way, shape or form, then you should migrate to diablo 4.

Yeah right. Always the same pre-school punchline „go back to Diablo”. We are entitled to our opinion and you have mistaken the notion of opinion and complaint . There are few mega threads about the same here in this forum. Did you also respond the same way to all of them? Save your advice to yourself.

The Forum section is called „Early Access Discussion” and we are entitled to discuss about how the game mechanics are in its current state. But then there are people like you coming and dropping some crap comment about how „incompetent” we are . We don’t want that kind of negative attitude here
Who is we? Do you have a split personality disorder, or has someone chosen you to be some special representative for a large number of other people?

Just as you are entitled to cry incoherently about things you find difficult, I am entitled to tell you that it is all that you're doing.

Just because you are incapable of achieving something, does not automatically mean that it is impossible and/or should be brought down to your level. You either put in the effort required, or go find/do something that is more accessible. In this case diablo 4 is a perfect example, since it was tailored to people like you.
It is GGG we are talking about so we never know, but you have to keep in mind that the game is not done (or I hope so).

The game is already in many ways "easier" or at least better designed than poe1, which I believe the campaign show. Even though it is challenging, I feel that easier access to attributes and gems, makes the experience more smooth.

I would be surprised if they don't make an complete overhaul of the endgame and further improve the transition between campaign and endgame.

chill your balls.

no reason to tell someone to go play d4. whats with this toxic behaviour?

also this is early access.

the game is far from balanced.

if i m being real for a minute, playing hardcore but with a meta build which clears everything on the screen quickly really saps part of the prestige of being hardcore doesnt it?
