DAY 54 STILL NO FIX FOR CRASHES
An overwhelming amount of players are experiencing these crashes, me included, and have had absolutely 0 response from the devs in terms of solutions or even acknowledgement of the issue.
How incompetent do you have to be as a company that a random coder on github had to create an uncrashing program for your game because you refuse to do it yourself. 54 days is an unimaginable amount of time to ignore any issue, let alone a bug that prevents a majority of your customers from actually playing the game. To those of you responding to my threads by saying its an NVIDIA issue or a windows update issue, I suggest you stop being antagonistic and start posting more threads asking the devs to actually pay attention to the game they released instead of hiding behind the "early access" shield of indemnity and collecting the profits. It's not only 54 days. I have the exact same issue on PoE 1 as well.
It started during the settlers league and I stopped playing due to that hard freeze (had to hold down power button to restart the PC because of their malware style forkbomb fuckup). At that time I still thought that it's maybe my PC because I never would have thought that such a hard crash could be caused by applications running in user space (this one is on Microsoft). Well I gave up on Path of Exile 1 but I was excited to check out Path of Exile 2 when EA launched. When I then encountered the very same issue again right after I first launced it, I knew they were never going to be able to fix this. Running the uncrasher as admin I was able to play two characters into the endgame. Guess it's fine for me, had my money's worth. But I honestly despise the way they ignore this severe bug and I am now gone for good as a customer. I uninstalled both titles weeks ago and I am only here because it amuses me to see how far you can get with utter ignorance these days. It is also wild to see that not a single streamer talks about this... |

So this is just what they do: brick computers, collect profits, go silent. Great, glad I spent my money on this. Genuinely trash company.

" I think because most people don't have such big problems. Doesn't mean I don't believe you. I had a lot of problems in the beginning and almost zero lately. However they obviously still struggling with some Windowsissue from the beginning. They admitted it in the patchannouncement for 0.1.1 and even put a commandline in 0.1.1b to adress this problem. To be honest some code badly needs to be fixed. Especially because bugs will always happen in one way or another and one of the worst solutions is to solve errors with a crash and rollback or worse a hard crash on users site. The problem with this is that it might affect core parts of the code that cannot be simply hotfixed but need a ton of time investment. I am not a dev or too much into IT but I think they were trying to hotfix stuff and have admitted it to be a big issue by implementing that command line. So at least you can be assured they are working on it - whatever this means in terms of schedule. |
