Equipped item dissapeared

I logged into the game. I identified some items that i had from an unsuccessful ascendancy run and noticed that i had an empty equipment slot. An equipped Focus disappeared from my inventory. It was too expensive for me to throw out or sell to an npc. I checked all of my stash tabs and relic locker and it's nowhere to be found. It was expensive to just say "it is what it is" and let it be.
