Meditate on Monk don't double my engery shield

Hi,
Meditate don't double my engery shield.
I see the meditation animation.
But nothing happens.
I am not using Eternal Youth node.

Waht can I do to make it work?

Eternal Youth says "Life recharges INSTEAD of Energy shield". This means you dont recharge ES anymore.

Meditation forces your ES to start RECHARGING, which you unable to do, because you dont recharge energy shield with Eternal Youth.

Edit: I've missread OP and missed the 'not'. Give more info about your build? Do you use any supports on meditation skill?

OP specifically says they DO NOT have Eternal Youth.
