Trial of Sekhemas Bricked

I finally beat the boss of floor 3 and attempted to pick my ascendancy points. I'm just stuck at the altar now. It connected the lines but says 2 unused points. I can't move. I can't exit trials. I can't exit to character selection. I can use menus and that's about it but nothing happens. Nothing will get me out of here. I fear I lost the whole trial now.

I had to restart the game and it did not credit my selections. I'm back at the start of the trials. The equipment in my stash and inventory is there. But I've not been allocated my passives I selected
