What ordinary players drop cannot be exchanged for anything, while merchants and scripts are crazily making money.
The BOSS ticket that ordinary players struggled to obtain accidentally died, and no one dared to fight the BOSS, resulting in ordinary players being unable to play the game. Now only businessmen and wealthy people who spend real currency can play endgame content, and this game is no different from a pay per win online game.

Pretty much, you either gotta pay up the real money or fall behind, I refuse to pay real money so my willingness to play is slowly dieing off, but know plenty of people that just don't have the time to play hundreds of hours so they buy currency but that's where the market is right now. Trading is currently rage inducing, and people just avoid it all together.
Things are getting super expensive as well. Items that were once 5-7 divs are now becoming 10-15 divs or more. General inflation is out of control. You have jewels that are 200 divs, I don't know anyone that is farming that much.

Most likely they are either flipping items or buying. And if you are flipping and trading or finding items to trade, you are only playing half the game.

Yea any of my upgrades that are mediocre at best are 50 divine+ and i only get maybe 5 divines a week lol don't know anybody that is making 10 divines a week let alone 50+, so any gear I need from here on out are pretty much out of reach so I tell myself my character is now maxed lol
So alot of players are seeing gotta use real currency to buy in-game currency or you can get nowhere.
So the issue is relying on trade instead of proper loot drops in a game about itemization. You just confirmed it.

The first thing should have been making it where players dont need to use trade or markets, but can still get reasonable items. Then set the high bar items behind boss and rare fights.

The second part should have been stabilizing the market so players can have fun with that too but when trade comes first before the game works for ssf, then its broken to start with. This is not a trade simulator.
Time to play the game instead of playing trade simulator.

This is exactly a trade simulator. I have 2 good friends I made from here that will sometimes give me gifts or items. Both of them spend more time in there hideout and trade website than actual farming. They will tell me how much they made and then might run bosses for fun or loot drop but rarely are they running normal maps. Most of their loot is coming from trading, not from playing the game.

I was literally told I have a broke mindset when I said I farm all my div orbs, I have yet to sell any item over 1 div and even that was rare. I am using overwolf to price everything.
I have 500hr in poe 2. I would say at least 400hrs are in hideout trade browser.

It's because I played 3 classes to end game and tried every build possible. Gearing for super end game takes forever because of all the bots.

You can't just search for a item and pay a fair amount. Any good end game item gets bought up by bots unless its over priced. So you have to go into trading browser and do active live search for each slot of gear and watch this live for 12+ hrs competing against bots for gear.

I am done with PoE 1 & 2. If there was a reset in PoE 1 I would play it on console if it was separate still from PC. I will never play a PC league with China players allowed ever again.

Never happening. I don't need to play any game filled with cheaters or bots.
It’s really not that bad honestly in the sense that you can’t progress.

I started 2 weeks ago as Monk and am clearing T15 and T16, no crazy maps just +100-200% if I get some nice stuff from towers.

Can pull in 5-10 div an evening - you need to be selling everything that the bots use like maps, tablets and breach splinters etc. I’m level 91 now and still using a 700 dps staff I got a week ago (saving 100+ div for one I want to finish off) and everything else is under 1 div. I have no uniques, bare bones gear that pairs well and am not res capped. Only have 1.3k hp and 1.2k shield (2.4k with grim feast) I just stacked the damage as best as possible and literally run full glass cannon. Sitting at about 41% CR and 480% CD with unbuffed ice strike at 91k dps and around 250k buffed.

I focus Rituals and Expeditions - but don’t go out my way to set them up other than avoiding a tile if there are towers passed it to drop some tablets in and go back to later. Can sell ritual tablets level 8+ for 60-120 ex, expedition tablets for anywhere from 90-200ex and you can spam rituals at any map level to get audience of the king which sells for 2,000 ex atm. I’ll usually boost T8-T10 maps I have that have rarity, magic monsters+, pack size + etc and then anoint the maps with 2x ire and a greed think it is off top of head for delirious +42% magic monsters and +8% pack size. Can get 4-6k tribute on 4 rituals pretty easy. Defer chaos / exalted or any rarity + gear that has resistances and HP / Mana on helm / feet. Chest is usually full defense. Rings whatever. Buy them once you’ve re-rolled to try get an audience. Then sell them on market - I always under cut, always search last 3 days and offline / online. Prefer to get rid of stuff quickly that having an inventory stacked try to squeeze every ex out a sale.

Burning through the lower level T maps doesn’t bring in the div gear you can sell, but it pulls in a consistent stream of maps, tablets and exalted / chaos / divine orb drops. Likewise just sell all the sacrillium and breach splinters for 1ex each. I’ll get 1-3 divine orb drops an evening. Any maps that upgrade wrong just Vaal orb them, the amount of times a T14-T15 map went bad and orbed it, lose all the waystone +% bonus but also wipes out all the suffixes so you have a T15 map stacked to high hell of + spawns and rarity but no downsides. Insane xp killing a thousand monsters on a map - love the big bramble thorn map whatever it is as loads of choke points, stack em up and nuke an opening and it rains orbs hehe.

Any tablets level 3-6 just reforge 3 of them to try get a 8-10 tablet then just sell it. Get your boss atlas tree finished so you get irradiated and corruption on boss tiles so then boosts levels when overlapping with expeditions, breaches or rituals.

Buy omens from currency converter - I always carry the omens that fill hp, mana, flasks when low health. Use the omens that provide a prefix when using regal orbs and always merge maps upwards looking for good maps to sell.

Don’t waste ex rolling gear to try sell, you’ll lose 95% of the time, just farm hard and amass gold. I made a fortune on the vendor npc rolling the 16k gold quarter staves. Pulled 300-550 DPS staves which sold very quickly 5-30ex a pop and that was all done in 30 mins once I listed everything and was selling from the nights runs.

I only bought a quad premium tab and I’ve set that as my main dump for maps / tablets etc and have a separate none premium tab that you keep the maps and tablets you intend to use.

Start small and go for clear times on lower level maps, safer and much better income for a lower level player that sells the stuff that everyone else needs to farm the gear.

If you need quick levels just join a free xp public party. Going 70-82/83 in a few hours will get you the stat boost and passive skills to go solo. I can’t play multiplayer as lag feast so always been solo, leeching at start really helped.

Once you get in the routine of of selling everything that you’d normally keep to try and get better drops to progress - currently it’s much faster to do the opposite and sell all that to buy some bare bones upgrades, then push content etc :)
Heya,

Where in ANY description of PoE/PoE2 is there the idea that you MUST spend the VAST MAJORITY of your time trading? Seriously, the ENTIRE economy is broken, and we can't just kill the stuff we're supposed to and get the items needed?

WTAF?

It's devolved into a dumpster fire, and of course GGG is LONG GONE into the sunset, 10c is probably botting/RMT'ing the backend of this, or just straight up creating than selling, does anyone actually believe anything anymore about whoever is running this crapshow?

Lies and more lies, straight up bait and switch, and you trust this all...why?
Yeah, got some axes to grind after being banned for letting my nephew play some time back, and NOW, well everyone and their brother is admitting in videos to doing the same, exploiting, etc.

WTAF?

I was willing to give this a shot, I play lots of games going back to BBS boards (before the internet, I'm 63), and this is as sad as as it comes, GGG is gone, heart and soul, and it's all a scam now.

They care for nothing BUT your money.
