DPS bug with shoes?

So, I was tinkering around with my gear and noticed, that I have roughly 3,2k DPS more if I take of my shoes.
So I tried some other ones and found some that doesnt lower my DPS. What´s the reason behind that? Is it a known bug Im not aware of?

Probably not a bug, no.

If you have the notable passive "Initiative" allocated, this would seem normal. This passive gives you increased Melee Damage, but only when you're on Full Life--which you're only at in the last screenshot you shared.


When you unequip boots that grant Max Life, your Life drops to the new max; when you reequip them, your Life doesn't automatically refill. You won't be at Full Life until your Life Regeneration fills it--assuming you have any--or you use a Life Flask.
