Loving PoE2 and will be playing it for a long time.

Just wanted to send some positive vibes and feelings to the team. Noticed ALOT of negative attitudes the past week / week and a half. Just wanted to let you guys know the game is awesome and to not let the negative people get you down.

It honestly feels like streamers and youtubers are just jumping on the clickbait. I have friends that have been banned from the path of exile reddits for saying things like "I dont agree, my experience has been much different than what youre describing". Im assuming the path of exile reddits are ran by long time PoE1 enjoyers, and it seems like theyre trying to perpetuate the negative feedback and block out anyone who has a positive opinion. There are ALOT of positive people still playing, please dont bend to the vocal minority of streamers who create echo chambers in their chats.

You guys are doing great!

Yes, the team has done an excellent job building the foundation of Path of Exile 2. The core of the game is genuinely impressive, and it’s clear that a lot of care and effort went into getting it to this stage.

That said, there are still some important issues that need attention. The lack of depth in the endgame, while understandable given the early access stage, is noticeable.

One thing that deserves continued recognition is the team’s ability to listen to community feedback. They have a strong track record of addressing player concerns, which has earned them a lot of respect.
Even so, I can see why some long-time Path of Exile 1 players and streamers are feeling frustrated. Many have grown used to the fully fleshed-out endgame that POE1 offers, so it’s not surprising they’re finding POE2’s early endgame lacking. The way bigger point of concern is how resources between POE1 and POE2 are being managed. The decision to move many POE1 developers to POE2 has left some POE1 players feeling neglected. While this might be necessary from a development standpoint, it could have been communicated more effectively to avoid some of the backlash.

Despite these challenges, the work being done on POE2 is exciting, and I’m really looking forward to the 0.2.0 release and future updates. At the same time, it’s important to remember that POE1 still holds value for many players, and continuing to support it remains important especially under the premise that POE2 is not meant to replace POE1.
Same. Im a semi casual, because of time constraints, but im in cruel act 2 and still loving it. And with a warrior of all things, the class that poeple complain so much about.

The endgame might be lacking, according to many opinions, but i do love the campaign, so if i dotn like it, i will just wait till they fix it.

You haven't had enough in game time to experience the pitfalls in end game and when you have 6 characters sitting at lv 80+ and ran the campaign multiple times, it becomes more of a tedious chore than a fun experience.

Most people just use one shot builds to speed run the campaign to use their meta builds.

You will also have a bunch of characters made sitting at lv 80 unless you choose to use ExileML and RMT for your currency to buy end game gear because crafting is RNG buffoonery.

You will understand when you have 300+ hours under your belt.

The thing is everybody understands it. Jonathan in the last interview said that endgame needs rework. This is just stuff that needs time, thats all there is to it.

Objectively false. They literally said as much themselves.

You do you though, some people live happily in Dreamworld.

Like many forum posts, this post lacks substance. It's fine as a "feel-good-vibes" message...which I certainly support, but with at least a modicum of detail:

What do you like about the game? What is awesome about it?

What build(s) are you playing, and what do you like about the skill / support / passive / gear combination(s) you are using? Have you been playing a lot of endgame, and like one or more of the endgame mechanics?...If so, which ones? Do you like the overall crafting architecture? Do you like the new monster abilities? Maybe you love the storyline?

There are some things I quite like about PoE 2, and it would be nice to go into a thread like this and see if an OP agrees.

How are the devs themselves supposed to know what you like about what they have been doing, if you don't provide details?

You have accused PoE Reddit mods of illegitimately banning and otherwise discouraging positive game feedback. Those are serious allegations. So, do you have proof? Who are the banned people you spoke of, and based on what comments were those people banned? Which are the relevant Reddit threads? The tone of your accusation suggests exaggeration to me, because you didn't provide details.

This forum seems to be largely consumed by drama, in that posters are dumping their respective emotional stews into polarized, angsty comments.

It's nice to see positive commentary, but please provide some substance. Thank you, jqnx, for fleshing out this thread with your thoughts about some of the solid aspects of the game, but I'd also like to hear the OP's point of view.
