Loot Inaccessible behind Window

this is a first for me (after years of playing):

a blight encounter dropped some oils, but they are 'hidden' behind a window (in this case the entrance/description to a vaal side area). because the area is very confined (a small room), I can't move around enough to make the oils show up - they stay inaccessible behind the window.

is there any way to 'disable' the window or the priority of what's 'on top'?

Yes: disable the setting "Always Highlight". The default hotkey for toggling this setting is Z, or you can go to Options.
