I'm so lost - what should I support with Spark?

so far I have:

Pierce
Considered casting
Arcane tempo
Inspiration
acceleration

is there anything I can change up to add more dps? I'm level 69, and my spark DPS is 2900.

also, on orb of storm, I have:

persistent
cursing current
lasting shock
conduction

Anything I should change here?

I've only played a little bit of sparkmage (definitely not optimal gems either) but those seem reasonable. You probably want to solve mana regen through tree/gear so you can use a damage scalar instead of inspiration though. Would also strongly recommend looking into something like mana tempest. Once you have decent regen, you can pop tempest, cast a couple of shocks, and then walk out of the tempest to get mana back.

At the point you're at, I wouldn't necessarily expect you to be super pumping DPS yet. You mostly get there through archmage/mana stacking and gem levels which come with xp and gear upgrades.
Also, make sure you're using flame wall and keeping it up all the time. Projectiles get a huge damage increase by passing through a flame wall, especially at higher gem levels.
Persistence on Spark helps if you have Pierce which you do, as it will allow more of the projectiles to hit multiple times. I would attempt to get your pierce from the tree instead of the support gem to avoid the downside of the support gem's -30% damage.

Flame wall with will boost the damage per hit.

Quality up the gem if you haven't as it adds more projectiles. be sure to have Arch mage.

If you are a mercenary controlled destruction and that node that makes lightning damage lucky not to far from the pierce nodes on tree could help.

Pierce (from tree is ideal)
Projectile Speed (from tree and Acceleration Support Gem)
Duration (from tree and support gem persistence)
Anything that allows it to bounce off of terrain from tree is nice as well
Cast Speed

The longer they are bouncing around the more often they multi hit
