DPS tool on Xbox

I do not see a way to know you weapon DPS on Xbox like I used to be able to see on PC. So it makes it difficult to know if a weapon is actually better than the current weapon I have.

Please add a way to see weapon DPS easily.

there's a DPS number when you go to the skills menu
how about for a weapon?
currently the only way I can see if a weapon is better than the current one Im using is to put up for sale then finding it on the trade site and seeing the DPS

is there another way?

That's what I do too. It's so lame. Dps in the inspect menu just straight up in the weapon card would be nice.

Ultimately, the DPS number shown on trade site isn't the only number you need to look at because it's only the base DPS. It doesn't take into account other stats like crit chance/damage or +skill levels that can have a big effect on your overall DPS with that weapon.

For example, if you have a monk that you're gearing towards crit damage, a quarterstaff with 550 phys DPS and no crit stats will very likely be worse for your overall DPS than a quarterstaff with 400 phys DPS and both crit chance/damage rolls. Same kind of thing happens once you hit about 60% crit chance - slotting the crit damage soul cores into the weapon can give you higher DPS than if you had phys damage runes slotted in even though it technically lowers the base DPS number that you see for that weapon.

If you really wanted to quickly figure out the base DPS number without posting to trade site, just take the average of the range of damage (low number + high number / 2) on that weapon and multiply by the attacks per second stat. About 10 seconds of your time on a cell phone's calculator. This is the exact calculation being performed by the trade site.

Like the first comment said, the best way to quickly see if a new weapon will increase your DPS is to equip it with your skills menu open. If your skill DPS goes up, the new weapon is better than your current.

Yes of course crit chance/bonus and +skill level don't factor into that equation. For that you have to get dps for a particular skill based on ur tree + gems etc. But just having the raw number displayed is the feature request, which is not an unreasonable ask.

The request was to have the raw number displayed in order to understand if a weapon is better or not. I agree displaying the number in game isn't an unreasonable ask, but what I said was that this number alone is almost worthless in understanding if the weapon is better for your build/increases your DPS.

People like OP need to understand how the system actually works so they can avoid switching to weapons that make their build/skill DPS worse just because the weapon's base DPS number is higher.
