A warrior problem ?
Slam skills are not fast skills. Thats ok with me as long as they 1-shot the white and at most 2-shot the blue mobs.
Now i am posting here partly to ask confirmation on my interpretation of the crushing impact (your hits are crushing blows) and surprising strength (40% more damage against heavy stunned enemies) ascendency skills. As i understand, crushing blow is not going to do anything on your first attack against mobs. Only on the second. Similarly, Surprising strength is not gonna work on the attack that inflicts the heavy stun, only on the next. So the skills are designed to triple hit the enemies. And that just doesnt do it. I think surprising strength needs to be changed to work on the attack that inflicts the heavy stun. PS: scavenged plating should just reset its timer to 8 seconds for the full stack whenever you break another armor. As is, its very unreliable and armor isn't that awesome anyway. Crushing Blow makes it so that it will heavy stun on the first hit without showing the primed for stun floaty above their head. Not the 2nd hit.
It from my understanding makes the minimum threshold where a monster would be primed for stun, stun automatically on the first hit. It basically makes Boneshatter useless, as they will not get primed for stun anymore. It will take a 2nd hit when they are showing the stagger of the heavy stun to apply the added damage for against heavy stunned enemies. As it stands certain skills already have payoff features that feel like they glitch out an no longer work when doing Crushing blows, but if you read the fine print it explains "consumes fully broken armour' which means it cannot consume heavy stun. Leap Slam and Sunder for example consume fully broken armour, so they cannot be supported by Devastate while using Crushing Blows, which imho blows and is un-intuitive, and they also I believe suggest using Devastate with them when they will not work so I think it may be a bug or oversight on GGG side. If you want to stun on first hit Crushing blow is your friend, if you want to use payoff supports it will work great with anything that doesn't already have a payoff built in. |
