Infernalist Witch Demon Form Suicide Bug

I've been experiencing a recurring issue where I will randomly die 100% - 0% without taking a hit. It seems to be some sort of bugged interaction between the "Pyromantic Pact" ascendancy skill point and Demon Form. I am not using any flasks that remove HP.

This was not happening before the most recent patch but is now happening fairly frequently. It's currently making it impossible to complete my 4th Ascendancy as it's more or less guaranteed to happen within a full run.

Are you using cast on ignite or similar?

This happened to me and I realised that it was due to my cast on ignite triggering many many times when I flameblasted large groups of low ailment threshold enemies. Triggered spells cost mana and build up infernal flame as usual, so even with 80%+ fire resistance I was taking 6 or 7 procs at once and dying before recoup.

I imagine that if you're running high demonflame stacks then the danger would be even higher due to the very high spell damage increase making your 'cast on's trigger more often.

Yeah, I've since realised this was more or less the cause. I've been using Cast on Ignite and it's the multiple casts simultaneously that cause the issue.

The interesting thing is that it also happens on single targets such as bosses. It seems I'm able to ignite a single enemy multiple times with a single cast which is where my confusion was coming from. Not sure if this is intended or not.

Additionally when I was experiencing this my Energy Shield would visually appear as not empty which furthered my confusion. Either way for now I'm no longer experiencing the issue at all after increasing my "Damage Taken Recouped as Life" by ~30%.
