Chronomancer Hexblast Leveling (Prototype)

First things first. Thing is still in process of shaping.
Second. Only for Standard League (no SSF)
Third. I am not a pro with those things. This is mostly collective thoughts from the experience I had before.
Fourth. It revolves around unique items.

So let's begin. Chaos damage sucks. Damage over time - sucks. It will make your campaign run painful to do. The biggest downside of this build is you need to hold strong till the level 41 where the Hexblast finally getting added to your build.

My overall conclusion for this process of leveling is playing around this two unique items

As you see. The Focus give you 11% increased spell damage per 10 spirit and the chest piece giving you +100 to spirit so we getting a nice damage bonus right away. Later on when you start getting additional spirit, the bonus will only increase. Also, thou it's not necessary but I recommend to slap Everlasting Gaze right away.
I am planning to use this combo for the entirety of the campaign before level 65.

Skill that we gonna use thru the run

LV.2 Contagion - Persistence, Magnified Effect (?)
LV.6 Essence Drain - Swift Afflictio, Acceleration
LV.11 Grim Feast - Clarity
LV.31 Dark Effigy - Withering Touch, Controlled Destruction
LV.31 Blasphemy - Despair, Temporal Chains (?)
LV.41 Hexblast - Ambush, Arcane Tempo, Inspiration, Considered Casting

ACT1

Once you enter Clearfell Camp speak to Una and if lucky, buy some Withered Wand. Also check your stash, maybe you have this unique helmet and boots. Equip it. It will be a good start.

Toss Spark, trash a Fire Wand. Use Withered Wand as your main weapon.Try to check Una for new Withered Wands. They have bigger chance to provide Chaos Damage and + Levels to Chaos Spell Skill subtats. This is all you need for now.

Get the first skill - Contagion and slap Persistence on it.
Thru the act 1 you'll need to focus on getting more flat Chaos Damage bonus.
Entire passive tree for the Act 1 looks like this (assuming you'll get around 20 passive points):

Once you hit Level 6, get Essence Drain. Your gameplay for a loooooong time will be like this: Contagion -> Essence Drain. Yes even on bosses.
When you finish with Freythorn and get +30 to spirit you also get LV.4 Spirit Gem. Grab a Grim Feast from it. We need to stay thick on defenses. At this point we have a good portion of energy shield and we can just double it.

No Raging Spirit, Minions, Skeletons. Don't waste your time with this. Since we are not gonna invest anything to Minion nodes in our passive tree, their revelance falls off ver very quickly.
I kinda thought about Withering Presence, but since we have almost 0 meters of effect radius it would be a waste of Spirit Gem. Basically. But hey. Since we got that big spirit pool you can experiment with. I honestly didn't had any diffirence.

So run, level up your skills. Be careful on bosses.

ACT2

Act 2 is relatively simple. Start to play with rings. Get some resistances a bit. Maybe you can find the boots that have more movement speed. Keep checking Zarka for better wands.
Your passive tree will look like this at the end of Act 2. First we going right to get one chunk of Chaos damage passives, then we up to another one and jewel socket.

Speaking of Jewels. Get something like this.

While you running, skip Balbala's fight and don't attempt Trial of Sekhemas yet.

Once your hit Level 31. Grab Blasphemy Spirit Gem and insert Despair into it.
Don't use Despair manually it will drain your mana pool insantly, since we wearing a chest piece that restrict us form getting mana bonus from additional Intelligence. Be careful with that.
Incorporate Dark Effigy into your build. Slam Withering Touch on it and Controlled Destruction support gems. That turret will elevate our trash bombing significantly but we kinda clunky still.

ACT3_AND_LEVEL41_BREAKPOINT

Nothing is happening yet. We still looking for better wands. We still looking for better gear. On the passive tree side everything is chill. Stack attributes

Around level 38. Go slap Balbala and get your first Ascendancy. You forget? It's Chronomancer. Pickup Temporal Rift as your first two point. This skill is busted. It remembers your last few seconds of existense and if you hit the vutton at the right time, you'll get you mana, energy shield, health back basically at the right moment you gonna be immune to death.
Then we going straight to Trial of Chaos. Curse the Trialmaster and tell this idiot that he don't send Tornado Bird to your location. If you not get Tornado Bird, the run will be fine. Dark Effigy will eat trash mobs during the run so it will be a breeze. Grab your second pair of points. This time it's Time Freeze.
Time Freeze is another skill that will help you later on. Toss Ingenuity and Second Wind into it so you can hit the Time Freeze at least twice in a single fight. It just says big NO to bosses. Helps you to get free damage or reposition yourself if you need to. So this is another defensive layer to your gameplay.

Okay we hit Level 41 now what? I assume you running in the Apex of Filth already, go to the camp.
Get Hexblast. Slap Ambush, Arcane Tempo, Inspiration, Considered Casting. Since this point forward we gonna do a bit of respec and start heavily lean toward Crit Chance nodes.

Unspec all the point from Level 6 path (yes you gonna lose some Chaos damage). You get 8 points back. Get those Crit Chance nodes.

When you at Level 45. Get Maligaro's Virtuosity Fine Bracers with 300% fixed Critical Damage Bonus. For this you need 73 dexterity. It's not necessary and those cost 200 exalts minimum so if you have it - good. Don't have it. Consider it later once you get more Crit Chance

END_OF_ACT3_AND_CRUEL_ACT1

We just BLASTING at this point. Keep looking for better boots, rings, belts, helmets. Keep looking for better wands. We still need +Levels to Chaos Spells. Also since this point we need Increased Critical Chance For Spells stats on your Wand. Your passive tree will look like this:
Get that Chaos Damage chunk first. Then Critical Nodes, then Area of Effect of Curse Spells (Blasphemy-Despair)

BE VERY CAREFUL WITH QUEEN OF FILTH AND VIPER IN ACT 3. I genuinely hate those two.

CRUEL_ACT2

We keep BLASTING. BLAST BLAST BLAST AND MORE BLAST. Nothing but BLAST and more BLASTING.
In your passive tree we will focus on this chunk of Critical nodes for the entirety of Cruel Act 2

I just entered Cruel Act 3 and I see that nothing really gonna change at this point. I'll keep stack crits until endgame hits and I think's I'll ditch those two uniques for Morior Regalia and Omen Scepter after level 65. (I am running this campaign almost with no resistances xDDDD) Then focus more on Energy Shield, mana, get CI, EB you know the drill xD
(I will lost half ot the damage if I unequip this damn Focus. What I've done? x()

From this point I wanna hear your thoughts and opinions about this build. What could I incorporate later on. Especially the buff gems and stuff.

Bonus: Alternative way to play until Level 41 xD
