PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE We need the option to change button layout
Switching between POE1 to POE2 and back again is frying my brain. The button to identify and move items while in the stash is different. This makes navigating through either game's menu system not enjoyable. I'm quite surprised this simple problem has not been addressed. Anybody who plays both games on a controller knows what I mean.

I feel like the poe1 stash interface is far better than poe2, with one exception, removing an unidentified item from the sales interface is broken since its a duplicate key to identify and (Circle or B) can't do anything since it defaults to identify which is blocked while selling. During gameplay, I really like the poe2 right stick for aiming, though the only easy actions to use while pointing are right bumper and trigger.
I agree switching games is tough since they just picked different keys for changing tabs versus moving tabs, they are just opposite. For myself I have solved this by simply staying away from poe2 for this and other reasons. Inserting to stash or selling interface is just randomly different. I have enough time using editors on windows, linux and macs that I just got used to the different combos with modifier keys, but there is no reason for this in the only 2 games made by 1 company. Its like they started the controller interface from scratch in poe2 and the designers had never even used or read the specs on them for poe1. The best option would be to give emulation for the other game in at least one of the 2 game at least for the inventory tetris mini game. Gameplay has a different philosophy so might be very difficult to have them equal. |
