During the trial, I accidentally blinked up the platform and rode it down. Now, after the trial was finished, the platform wouldn't go up.

Playing with a buddy this is easily recreatable. If the platform goes up, and someone flips the switch and the platform button is also pressed, it will brick the switch AND the platform.
As far as blink goes, I am not sure how that works but it seems like it could be something similar. |
