Jiquani's Sanctum corruption altar bug

I've reached the altar and I've put medium soul core into it. Soul core disappeared from my eq; can't reopen the altar; I've opened town portal in hope that re-entering this location will fix it but I can't use the opened portal; I can't use checkpoints. Going back to character screen and re-entering the server fixed it. Sould core was lying at the ground next to the altar, and altar seems to work normally again.
