POE1 and POE2 settings somehow linked in Nvidia App.

Has anyone else noticed this? For example, if I change "Low Latency Mode" to On in POE1, the same entry in POE2 will be changed from Off to On. Even though I want it Off because there's in game Reflex.

Also, if I use the DLSS Override for POE2 to use preset K, it will appropriately show "Use different settings for each DLSS technology." If I then open and play POE1, the next time I check the Nvidia App - the DLSS Override setting for POE2 changed by itself back to "Use the 3D application setting."

Super frustrating.

It may have a problem with them both having the same-named executable, even though they are in different folders.

I don't know what options may be available with nVidia profiles in their app to help with detecting the correct game, but as an awkward workaround you could manually rename the .exe yourself (e.g. PathOfExile1.exe or PathOfExile2.exe).

The catch is that every time the game patches it may create a new PathOfExile.exe and any updates to that .exe will be written to the new file (and it will be recreated, regardless, if it is missing). You may have to repeat the renaming once in a while if this .exe gets changed.

The AMD Adrenaline tool seems to have a similar problem with game profiles.
Hey, thanks for the reply. That's a creative temporary solution. I'll try it later tonight. Are there any potential negative implications of changing the name of the .exe?
i tried nvidia experience once and it was terrible. never installed with experience/app ever since.

much less problems when you install just the driver.

theyre trying to change this habit by having exclusive functions in the app but i find that to be abusive. could easily just be in nvidia control panel.

Yeah there is a video out there on this. You have to download Nvidia Profile Scanner or something along those lines and do a lot of editing to make it work. It ends with you having to do some commands in CMD Promt to create a .symlink in order to separate the two games respectfully.

Imagine being able to just play the game without having to have a computer science degree to do so. Their developers are hacks. All these work arounds that the player base has to do right now to make this game playable is laughable. Dont get me started on optimization / performance. Amazon Games has made more stable games.
