If you are not seeing item labels and this is preventing you from picking up items, check:

the "Always Highlight" option in Options - Interface - Gameplay as well as

the "Toggle Highlighting" (defaulted to Z on keyboard) keybind in Options - Input (keyboard and mouse).


If you are playing in a Party, the loot allocation mode may prevent accessing some items that drop for other players (under the Short allocation or Permanent Allocation).

You cannot drop items in some areas, including towns (such as the Epilogue) and hideouts. trying to drop an item in these areas will prompt you to destroy the item instead. Kingsmarch allows you to drop items on the ground, but there were some bugs with that in the past.

Your selected loot filter might also hide certain items, especially if it is strict.
