Block Breach Unique Idol Mod is not working

The Title says it all.
Ran several Maps with the Minor Unique Idol which blocks Breaches and I still had a Breach Encounter... I wonder if these small Idols work at all ? Because my Scarabs which Drop are not really getting better when I use them ... normally taking those Nodes on the Tree highly improves the Drop Rate of better Scarabs
