Betrayal 'more likely to be accompanied by their leader' idol not working

I am running upwards of 200% more likely to be accompanied but the modifier is neither showing up on the list of modifiers when i press tab nor actually working, as i have run 7 maps or so with none of my transportation encounters having a leader.
