Legacy of the Vaal Coop Elevator Bug

Hello, my friend and me have been playing coop for a while. We wanted to finish the quest "Legacy of the Vaal" and we cannot.
After i talked to Alva and got lifted to the Ziggurat Encampment, he wasn't on the platform and now cannot talk to Alva or defeat the boss again.
