[PoE2] Can't use Sacrificial Heart

Hello everyone,

I completed Act 3 and transitioned into the cruel difficulty. However, I didn't use the item called "Sacrificial Heart" (I didn't know I should). Now I can't go back to the location where I could use the item and get the skill points for it because when I enter the time portal I am taken to Act 1 of the cruel difficulty. Please advise. Thanks!
