Urgent Issue: Stash Tabs & Currency Points Not Transferring Between Platforms

I want to tell you about a very strange issue I am experiencing.

I purchased Path of Exile 2 on PlayStation 5, and I really enjoy playing it. While playing on PlayStation 5, I bought stash tabs to help with inventory management. As I progressed and gathered more items, I wanted to engage in trading. However, trading on PlayStation 5 is quite slow, so I thought it would be more efficient to do it on PC.

I downloaded the Path of Exile 2 setup file from the official website and tried logging in with my email, but I received an error stating that I did not have an early access code. I sent multiple emails about this issue, but I never received a response. Out of frustration, I ended up purchasing early access again—this time through Steam.

After linking my Steam account, I downloaded the game via Steam and successfully logged into my character. However, I encountered another issue: the stash tabs I purchased on PlayStation 5 now appear as "remove-only" when I log in through Steam, meaning I cannot use them on the PC version. Additionally, the 300 points I received from purchasing early access on Steam cannot be used on PlayStation 5. It feels as if I have two separate accounts, even though they are supposed to be linked.

A friend of mine initially bought the game on Steam and later linked it to his PlayStation 5 account. He had no issues at all—everything he purchased on Steam was available on his PlayStation 5 account as well.

So, was my mistake purchasing the game on PlayStation 5 first? Why is GGG unable to resolve such a ridiculous issue?

I have now purchased the game twice, and I urgently expect your help in resolving this.

Unfortunately, what you are experiencing is indeed the intended behavior.

In general, purchasing a supporter pack only grants access on the platform you purchased it on. This is true for all platforms, and pretty much the standard for all cross-progression games.


The MTX situation is a bit more unfortunate, but this is what was announced a few weeks before EA start:

"Unfortunately, any purchases made on PlayStation platforms cannot be used on other platforms, and purchases made on other platforms cannot be used on PlayStation platforms. Note that these purchases can still be on the same sub-account, but the microtransactions will be marked as unavailable when viewing them in your stash." This applies to all purchases, including points. However, this restriction applies only to PS5, while PC and Xbox purchases are shared. Again, this is quite unfortunate but likely a result of unrealistic demands from Sony's side.

Also, it was later clarified how stash tabs work with this restriction. In short, if you have purchased the same tab on both PS5 and PC, it should work normally. As for your friend, their experience goes against this intended behavior. Are you sure they are on PS5 and not Xbox (since PC and Xbox purchases are shared)?
